History of Plant protection department
The Department of Plant Protection is one of the important departments of the Faculty of Agriculture. It was established in 1397 H.S. within the framework of Laghman University’s Faculty of Agriculture, and students were admitted the same year through the entrance examination (Kankor). Currently, the department has four faculty members: two with doctoral degrees, one pursuing a Ph.D., one pursuing a master’s degree, and one faculty member at the bachelor's level. Since the Faculty of Agriculture has a building for classrooms and administrative offices, the classrooms of the Plant Protection Department are also located in this building. Vision
Through scientific and research programs, ensure accurate diagnosis and effective prevention of plant diseases so that agricultural crops are protected as much as possible from pests and diseases, providing sustainable growth for the agricultural sector.
Mission
To provide scientific and professional training to undergraduate and master's students, enabling them to identify diseases and pests harmful to farmers, and through effective management and prevention of these issues, reduce crop losses and increase production.
