History of the Finance and Banking Department

The Finance and Banking Department was established in 1399 (2020) within the Faculty of Economics at Laghman University with the aim of meeting the academic and professional needs of the country. This department was created to pave the way for the development of administrative, commercial, banking, and financial sectors, and to provide effective services in these fields. The department is committed to training young professionals through theoretical and practical education, research, and professional training, so that they can play a constructive role in the country’s economic growth, the development of the financial and banking sectors, and the improvement of administrative systems.

The Department of Finance and Banking aims to achieve a distinguished position at the national and regional levels by utilizing its scientific, research, and innovative capacities and by ensuring high quality in financial and banking affairs.

Mission

The Department of Finance and Banking provides scientific and academic cadres to the community in the fields of finance and banking, utilizing scientific and research programs, new technology, and Islamic and national sentiments, and taking into account the needs of the community.
