To be a standard and active center at the national level in the field of engineering education, research, and innovation.
Mission
To educate engineers at the bachelor's level by equipping them with professional knowledge, technical skills, and Islamic and national values, utilizing available resources.
History of the Faculty
The Faculty of Engineering was established in 2014 (1393 Hijri Shamsi) as part of Laghman University. Currently, it comprises two departments—Civil Engineering and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering—each offering a bachelor's degree program.
The Faculty of Engineering comprises 10 academic staff members, 2 administrative employees, one laboratory technician, and 2 service staff. All faculty members are young professionals equipped with modern technology that meets contemporary demands, and they possess strong enthusiasm for teaching, service, and development.
In the academic year 2024–2025 (1403–1404 HS), the total number of active students across both departments is 429. To date, the Faculty of Engineering has graduated 627 civil engineers over eight cohorts at the bachelor’s level to serve society. Most graduates are employed in professional roles within governmental and private sectors, while some are pursuing higher education at the master’s and doctoral levels.
