Vision
The vision of the program is to enhance its scientific and professional capacities as an academic, professional, research, and developmental institution in the field of Agricultural economics and Extension at the national, regional, and international levels.
Mission
The mission of the program is to provide skilled professionals to society at the Bachelor's level in the field of Agricultural Economics and Extension, contributing to knowledge and policy-making through the implementation of Agricultural research programs, and actively participating in the process of national economic development.
The History of agriculture economic and extension department
The Department of Agricultural Economics and extension was established simultaneously with the founding of the Faculty of Agriculture at laghman University in 1389 (2010). Based on the needs of the Ministry of Higher Education, two professional lecturers were appointed to this department. Currently, the department has six lecturers, one of whom holds a PhD and the others hold master's degrees. These lecturers actively carry out their academic and professional programs. The department has graduated ten cohorts so far, and every year approximately 80 new students are enrolled in this program to receive training in the field of agricultural development.
