Agronomy Department Overview:
(Vision):
To train undergraduate students on the national and Islamic spirit,to improve domestic, social and national economy in addition to increasing agricultural production.
(Mission):
Developing human resources in plant production, conducting basic and applied research in the field of agricultural plant production and soil management, providing short-term informal workshops to farmers, institutions and workers related to the agricultural industry in order to Industry workers should be aware of the latest developments in agriculture and consequently use resources properly for sustainable production in a changing environment.
History of the Department of Agronomy:
It was established in 1389 with the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture, Laghman University, and the Department of Agronomy was established in 1397. With the approval and order of the Ministry of Higher Education, three professional Lecturers were employed in this department. Currently, there are three Lecturers in this department, one of whom is studying for a doctorate in foreign country and the remaining two. Those who have studied Master's degree are actively carrying out their academic and professional programs. Currently, they have offered their services to the Graduate School for approval. The number of new students enrolling and joining each year reaches approximately 50 people.
