Biology Department Overview

History of Biology department:

 The Department of Biology is established in 1396 by the Ministry of Higher Education whiten the faculty of Education, Laghman University. The Department is established in order to meet the national interests and needs of the country.  This department was a joint department with the department of Chemistry in 1392-1396 years. In 1396, with the approval of Higher Education ministry the Biology department is separated from chemistry department and became an independent department. We are delighted to announce that, the mode of teaching and learning changed from classical to a credit system.

The Department of Biology consists of four professors and (215) students. So far, they have presented five distant graduates by the number of (358) students to the society.

Vision:

In the future, the Department of Biology hopes to train academic staff in various departments related to Afghanistan's reconstruction, development and the country's needs in order to respond to the needs of the region and the world at the academic level.

Mission:

The Biology Department provides qualified academic staff to serve the community, region and country as biologists. Also, to solve the existing problems of the society and humanity, he conducted research for the purpose of familiarity with the new developments and took his part in providing a beautiful environment.
