History:

The Department of Horticulture was established in the framework of the Faculty of Agriculture in 1390, but it started its operation in 1391.  The first graduates were given in the year 1395, and the total number of graduates so far is six. Total of 347 students have graduated. The number of lecturers are four, of which three are masters and one is the PhD student.

Vision:

For growth of horticulture great using of existing facilities through professional staff and also in this parts find good way for the country’s economical, industrial and food needs.

Mission:

According to academic responsibility and mission, through efficient use of madden technology the Department of Horticulture is committed to transfer professional knowledge in field of horticulture to undergraduate and graduate academic staff. when the field of horticulture trough scientific research and writes, consider of country’s climate, water and plant germplasm production, storage and processed production also satisfaction of domestic market and export to foreign country   in all sessions of year.
