The Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences is one of these two initial faculties, which began its activities with departments in Journalism and Library Science. In order to organize the administrative and teaching affairs of the faculty, the esteemed university presidency appointed Assistant Professor Syed Zia-ul-Rahman Binouri as the head, and Abdul Hadi Rashidi was appointed as the teaching manager through a competitive process, along with the hiring of a service worker, on 28/8/1399, Mr. Senior Teaching Assistant Sardar Wali Israr was appointed as the head of the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences, based on the necessity of the esteemed university's administration and the proposal of the Ministry of Higher Education, according to decree number 2217. The administrative and teaching responsibility of the faculty has been officially handed over to respected Senior Teaching Assistant Sardar Wali Israr.

The Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences is on the verge of development, as the Pashto and English departments were approved in the year 1392, and in 1403, a third department was approved, which will be proposed to the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education in coordination with the respected university administration, considering future needs for additional departments.

All administrative and teaching activities of the departments mentioned above can be carried out under the direction of the heads of departments. Fortunately, currently, for the Pashto department, Assistant Professor Sulaiman Syad, for the English department, Senior Teaching Professor Hidayatullah Bawar, for the Journalism department, Lecturer Ab.samad Hadid, and for the Library Science department, Lecturer Imaduddin Shahab have been officially appointed as department heads of the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences based on the necessity seen by the respected administration of the university and upon the proposal of the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education.

Currently, the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences is carrying out administrative and educational activities in its building, which has been constructed with the support of the Aid for Afghan Children German musical budget. The Faculty of Literature and Humanities has a sufficient amount of administrative and educational facilities, and also has a radio studio, four wall magazines, and a literary stream under the title ‘Sasko Shore’ for the practical work of students in this building. Moreover, there are quite a number of wild and ornamental plants and trees planted around the faculty, which play an effective role in the greenery of the faculty.
