History of the Department of Agronomy
establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture at Laghman University was in 1389 (2010), the Department of Agronomy was also created in 1397 (2018). Based on the directives and requirements of the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education, three professional lecturers were hired for this department. Currently, four lecturers are active in this field: tow are pursuing doctoral studies, and the ononther two have completed their master’s degrees and are actively advancing their academic and professional programs. Until now , the department has graduated three batches students who are serving the community. Each year, approximately 50 new students enroll and are admitted to the program.
Vision
The Bachelor of Agronomy program, with effective leadership and professional manpower, will take a special position at the regional level in the field of knowledge production and all-round sustainable development of the country by providing standard educational services and scientific research in accordance with the needs of the society.
Mission
The Bachelor of Agronomy program considers it its mission to provide professional and committed staff to the society based on the production of knowledge, standard scientific research and necessary skills, looking at the needs of the labor market, thus influencing the all-round and sustainable development of the country.
